Persistence
How did a tribe in Africa achieve 100% rain dance success?
They danced till it rained.
– By Not Me
Momentum of your motivation
The momentum of your motivation
is directly proportional to the necessities in your aspiration,
and exponentially proportional if that aspiration is your passion.
Sometimes, failure
Sometimes failure does not require a fresh start,
only a fresh ending.
Be a winner
Be a winner,
because the world has a way of making way for the winner.
Big, small
Think big, start small.
3 Obstacles, 1 Wisdom
There are 3 Obstacles to success and 1 Wisdom.
3 Obstacles:
- Rejection – the ‘No!’
- Regression – the ‘it doesn’t work’; ‘it’s not working, I quit’
- Restriction – the ‘I can’t’, ‘I won’t’
1 Wisdom: know when to forge forward and when to pull back.
The PISS Theory
There are 3 human existential apexes – Passion, Intellectual Stimulation
and Survival – only concepts developed to feed or cater to their individual
or collective essences will evolve and last for forever.
Power
In any era where production is progress, three ingredients
come together to constitute ‘Power’: ‘Time’, ‘Resources’ and
‘Authority’ – one who at any given moment can access at least
any two and control the circumstances surrounding them is rich
and/or elite; one who can at any given moment access none or at
most one is poor and/or disadvantaged. ‘Affiliation’ means one
can realize production regardless of effort, and make progress regardless
of production.
Multitask v. Planned Neglect
When you multitask, you drop a ball or two now and then more often than not.
When you plan-neglect you score a touchdown on Monday, hit a homerun, triple-double, score a hat-trick, make an albatross, hit an ace, take home gold on Sunday – and be a winner every day of the week.
Planned Neglect: neglect everything that contributes nothing to the goal at hand – why a fingerless violinist, an armless mechanic, a footless sprinter, or a blind explorer can soar.
An affair
You can’t manage what you cannot measure; you can’t measure what you cannot qualify or quantify – you can’t manage creativity; you need to romance it.
creativity = lived love. QED
lived love = passion, respect and freedom of choice and expression on the subject of the object of desire.
Resources + Intelligence = tools = technology = power and accumulative means of survival and subsistence
Self-writing on the wall
How do you know you will succeed?
When your bias for your aspiration moves beyond ‘hope’ to ‘effort’ to ‘passion’.
How do you know you have ‘passion’?
If when the results do not equate to the ‘hope’, you still find meaning, derive satisfaction and retain enthusiasm – to redouble the ‘effort’
Tree of good and evil
Money is the root of all evil, and a branch to much good… Understand the former, live the latter.
MISTAKE
Learn big lessons from small mistakes and the odds are in your favor that the big mistake will never manifest.
The antinomy glory
Progress is utmost when proficiency is paramount; proficiency is paramount when capabilities experience their ultimate challenge; capabilities experience their ultimate challenge when best-competencies are represented; best-competencies are represented when compositions are sufficiently broadened; compositions are sufficiently broadened when composition is a melting pot of collaborations and conflicts; composition is a melting pot of collaborations and conflicts when rivalries are in healthy competition; rivalries are in healthy competition when oppositions strike a balance; oppositions strike a balance when opposing factions, though in adversarial antinomy, want the same outcome.
22
There are two types of innovation: differentiation (going against the grain) and distinction (becoming the more defined grain). How do you know which innovation to pursue? Differentiation if the timing and prevailing conditions are on your side (are in concurrence with the initiative). Distinction if only one of them is.
The Socio-volumetric Code
For success within a socioeconomic structure, three things are needed: discipline and hardwork; luck and good fortune; and people and a network. For success at the highest level, one needs to crack the volumetric formula for all three: ruthless ambition; blessings from GOD God gods and people; and an affiliation of high-performers and network of the highly connected.
The Illusion of Math
The illusion of math is: with multiplying, you need to keep separate; with dividing, you need to make whole.
The greatest failure in life
The greatest failure in life is, not affording the try. Because it denies you even the benefit of the doubt, and freezes “never” in certitude forever.
In Competence
Not being able is not incompetence; it’s opportunity
You can’t earn zero
You can preach what you don’t have, but you can’t teach what you can’t give. You can own it, but you can’t earn zero.
vision and reality
Entrepreneurship is striking the balance between vision and reality: vision must lead unrestricted by reality yet founded on reality and informed by it.
‘ahead’ acts; ‘beyond’ actions
Advancement is not the definition for modernity or technology. Advancement is disabling the issues that prevail the now by addressing the intricacies and complexities of the system ahead of those same intricacies and complexities being realized, such that they are mitigated, eliminated or best, every single one transformed into an opportunity in the now and as far beyond as possible.
Cooperation is like entropy – the sum of the whole is not the sum of its parts. It’s bigger.
ultimately, an agreement
Never argue. Have a conversation instead. Maybe a debate. But ultimately, an agreement.
There are no impossibilities, only difficulties; and every difficulty can be tamed with only two things: clarity of purpose and good decision. The fate of any decision is determined by three things: intelligence, timing and luck. Timing out of your control is luck.
event horizon
100% feasibility = absolute non-zero probability. A probability approaching 1 = infinite possibilities. A probability of 1 = certainty of finite possibilities.
Infrastructure
In a socioeconomic structure, the ease at which a product is accessible increases usage; and the speed of ease of usage increases the rate of consumption.
